About Amy

Amy Weber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. She has a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in drama and psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from New York University. Additionally, Amy has post-graduate certificates in Infant - Parent Psychotherapy from the Institute for Infants, Children, and Families at the Jewish Board for Families' and Children's Services and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute. Amy has further training in Greenspan's DIR/Floortime model, children's yoga, and infant massage.

Amy has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, both as a clinician and as an administrator. She is currently in private practice full-time, and works as a consultant through the New York City Early Intervention Program, as well as the Department of Education's Committee on Preschool Special Education. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Association for Play Therapy, the New York Zero-to-Three Network, and the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders. Amy is co-founder of Speak, Learn, and Play.

Amy moved to Brooklyn in 1995, and currently lives in Windsor Terrace. When she is not working, she enjoys playing in Prospect Park, cooking, reading, quilting, traveling, and gardening.
